【古老的敵意】是呼應香港國際詩歌節之夜2017而出版的二十四本詩選套裝，由北島、柯夏智、宋子江所編，收錄了來至世界各地，如南非、智利、美國、英國、加拿大、波蘭、法國、日本、葡萄牙、敘利亞、波斯尼亞、南韓、澳洲、德國、俄發羅斯、希臘、中國大陸、香港等優秀當代詩人的作品，以雙語或三語呈現。另設有二十四本詩選套裝，為單本詩歌合集的擴充版本。這二十四本小書可以單獨購買。
International Poetry Nights in Hong Kong (IPNHK) is one of the most influential international poetry events in Asia. From 22–26 November 2017, over 20 invited poets from various countries, ADONIS (Syria), Agnes S. L. Lam (Hong Kong), Anja Utler (Germany), Chan Chi Tak (Hong Kong), Charles Bernstein (US), Chen Dongdong (China), CHEN Xianfa (China), Chow Yiu Fai (Hong Kong), Dmitry Vedenyapin (Russia), Gabeba Baderoon (South Africa), George Szirtes (UK), Haris Vlavianos (Greece), Javier Bello (Chile), Jérôme Game (France), John Burnside (UK), Julia Fiedorczuk (Poland), Lorna Crozier (Canada), Major Jackson (US), Maram al-Masri (Syria), Mark TREDINNICK (Australia), Moon Chung-hee (South Korea), Nuno Júdice (Portugal), Semezdin Mehmedinović (Bosnia), Shuntarô Tanikawa (Japan), Toshiko Hirata (Japan), will be in Hong Kong to read their works based on the theme “Ancient Enmity.” The collection makes a treasured contemporary poetry anthology in trilingual or bilingual presentation.
Edited by Bei Dao, Lucas Klein and Chris Song, the Ancient Enmity twenty-four volume box set is an extended edition o f the single-volume anthology. Included are twenty-four pocket-sized paperbacks encased in a fine paper box, containing works by each of the poets included in the anthology, accompanied by English and / or Chinese translations. This collection seeks to make accessible the best of contemporary international poetry with outstanding translations. Each of the twenty-four volumes can be purchased separately.

不想再活下去，親愛的。

tengo ganas de vivir, corazón.

That evening it rained, as never before. He wasn’t precisely an invertebrate
but once he learned how to walk like a salamander
he never stopped. So the small foreigner
went into the favourite bone. Can’t you see I’m shedding my skin, he told me,
shedding my time, my caste. As for me,
I welcome him to the insatiable dresser of the skull, to the wardrobe of holes.
That was my error, mistaking mirage for gardenia. the high curl of the turbulence for a question-eating gland.
Once he learned to glide like a dolphin and shine against the glass it was difficult to pull out the tongue from the box of soil. There was shrapnel
and the crotch was not ready. There were objects no longer used, placed in no order.
The harpoon was thorough, but it takes half a life to sharpen a spear with our feet.

Walking to the market,

hopping after another
across the pavement.
It was not afraid
of me or other pedestrians.
If we had not been careful,
we could have squashed it.

Leave It All Up to Me
All we want is to succumb to a single kiss
that will contain us like a marathon
with no finish line, and if so, that we land
like newspapers before sunrise, halcyon
mornings arrived like blue martinis. I am
learning the steps to a foreign song: her mind
was torpedo, and her body was storm,
a kind of Wow. All we want is a metropolis
of Sundays, an empire of hand-holding
and park benches? She says, “Leave it all up to me.”
