A Tale of Hungry Ghosts
At times hot wind stagnates, then goes back and forth like a rudder
Like a fish swims radio waves discreetly go to the next stop
Unknown sounds prove time passes seriatim
Car windows are like mobile phones but lack power and are dim
A bird carries twigs and leads a train into the city
Words dim and brighten again and again like lanterns
No life can hold onto growth, and decline what’s its path
The train temporarily stops, and waits for birds to leave a note a thought
The bustle of the city’s been mistaken for constructed new ruins
The children loudly sing about rubble and so conceal each thought per step the predecessor diligently left
The city is empty so why should we reminisce
The hungry ghosts at gloaming, the new ghosts goodwill like home
