This book traces the life and work of Yiddish writer Kadya Molodowsky (1894-1975), who wrote poetry, short stories, novels, essays, plays, and a novella. She also edited a literary journal, lived through the Holocaust, was a Jewish feminist, and participated in the pre-World War I revival of Hebrew in Europe, the fostering of Yiddish literature in pre-World War II Warsaw, and the attempt to reconstruct Yiddish culture during the early years of Israel and in the US.
