商品簡介
Mijolla (president and founder, International Association for the History of Psychoanalysis) conceived this dictionary of psychoanalysis--which is really more of an encyclopedia--based on the principle of diversity. Although mainly put together by psychoanalysts trained and practicing in France, the contributors of the articles were chosen in order to reflect an international approach. Of the 1569 entries, some 900 concepts are explained, 360 psychoanalysts are biographically profiled, 170 significant works are described, and some 100 key events are discussed. Also considered are the contributions of institutions and intellectual movements. Coverage includes Freudian, Kleinian, Lacanian, and Jungian schools of psychoanalysis. Also included in the dictionary is a chronology and Freudian and general bibliographies. Originally published in French as Dictionnaire International de la Psychanalyse, this English translation has been expanded. Annotation c2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
