商品簡介
Kelly, an artist and associate professor in the Faulty of Fine Arts at the University of Calgary, and Leggo, a poet and professor in the Department of Language and Literacy Education at the University of British Columbia, invite readers on a journey to experience the creative processes of prominent poets, playwrights, artists, authors, composers, and performers from across Canada. Their goal is to demystify the concepts, practices, and processes of creativity, in order to enhance personal creative growth in students and teachers and in contemporary educational practice. The book is built on the premise that creativity should be a primary rationale for education. Section I sets out the vocabulary and theories of creativity and looks at the growth and development of creative ideas in an educational setting. In Section II, 20 creative producers from a range of disciplines bear witness to their personal acts of creativity. Section III focuses on Leggo's poetry and teaching. The book is profusely illustrated with color and b&w photos and drawings. Annotation c2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
