商品簡介
This book/CD-ROM for group facilitators presents a training program to help youth develop social skills, anger management techniques, and moral reasoning. The first part of the book explains the three components of the program and discusses methods for enhancing participant motivation, overcoming resistance, and evaluating program effectiveness. This section also provides real examples of agencies that have successfully implemented the program. The second part of the book presents step-by-step plans for each session of a 10-week program. The role playing exercises, session scripts, and experiential homework activities will help youth learn to deal with other people's anger or accusations, think ahead, and express affection. Ten moral reasoning scenarios are provided, all centering on boys. Appendices provide checklists, forms, student handouts, and parent materials, also found on the CD-ROM. This third edition contains new background on theoretical underpinnings of the program, plus additional moral reasoning exercises. Glick is an international consultant for juvenile correctional, educational, and mental health systems. Gibbs teaches developmental psychology at The Ohio State University and is also affiliated with the University's Criminal Justice Research Center.
