Felix Guattari (1930-1992), the French leftist psychoanalyst and social theorist perhaps best known for his collaborations with Gilles Deleuze, first published this work in French in 1989 as Les trios ecologies and this volume is a paperbound edition of the English translation of 2000. In it he critiques capitalism's techno-scientific transformations of the Earth that, he argues, ultimately threaten the continuation of life on the planet. Technocratic and piecemeal approaches to the crisis do not provide a solution and only articulating an ethico-political outlook he calls "ecosophy" that addresses the three intertwined spheres of the environment, social relations, and human subjectivity can properly clarify the issues in question. 作者簡介
Felix Guattari (1930-1992) was a French psychoanalyst, philosopher, social theorist and radical activist. He is best known for his collaborative work with Gilles Deleuze.Gary Genosko is Professor of Sociology at Lakehead University, Canada. He is editor of The Guattari Reader, Deleuze and Guattari: Critical Assessments, and author of Baudrillard and Signs, Undisciplined Theory, and McLuhan and Baudrillard: The Masters of Implosion.
Ian Pindar is a freelance writer and editor.
Paul Sutton is Senior Lecturer in Film and TV Studies at Roehampton University, UK.
