農業生態學(雙語)（簡體書）

《農業生態學(雙語)》是國家雙語教學示范課程的配套教材，也是“（中國）福建農林大學-（加拿大）新斯科舍農學院‘2+2’本科教學合作項目”的成果之一。《農業生態學(雙語)》緊緊圍繞“農業是把太陽光轉變成人們健康、幸福生活的科學、藝術、政治學和社會學”這一對“農業”的新理解，把“農業生態學”定義為農學與生態學聯姻的學科和實現農業生態系統可持續管理的應用科學。主要介紹農業生態學的學科內涵、農業生態系統的基本過程及其人為問題、可持續農業生態系統的構建與管理等內容，并包括該課程系列實踐教學指導書。
《農業生態學(雙語)》視角獨特，圖文并茂，適合于高等農林院校同名課程的雙語教學用書，也可作為農業院校和科研院所研究生考試的參考書。

Epilogue

A general agronomic textbook defines agriculture as "the infrastructure of nation-al economy, and main source of living, as well as industrial material for human be-ings" （Zhai, 1999）. This definition regards agriculture as a source of food, clothingand financial income, focusing on agriculture as "money-based" and economy driv-en. Agricultural practices under these defining ideologies have deteriorated natural re-sources and the environment （soil, water and atmosphere）. This has become apparentby the depletion of ecological diversity and productivity from increased agriculturalproduction, in an effort to meet an ever-increasing demand for food by an overpopu-lated society. The destroyed ecological diversity and productivity can no longer supportinfrastructure and provide a base for all agro-economic productivity. The,IndustrialRevolution replaced many organic materials with synthetic materials in agriculturalecosystems （agroecosystems）, which led to the formation of "Modern Fossil Fuel Ag-riculture. " This increased dependence on synthetic materials and fossil fuels in agricul-ture has only exacerbated the deterioration of agroecosystems. However, Agricultureis multi-faceted and extremely important it is not limited to food production and eco-nomic output, but rather, it is a critical interface between humans and nature.
Ancient Chinese books, poems and paintings depicted an ideal farming-orientedsociety among a charming agroecological environment. The ecological functions ofsound agriculture and forestry, as depicted in ancient Chinese art, are summarized asfollows （Wane, 2005）:
