This practical volume guides librarians in setting up specialized services for seniors in public libraries. Potential areas of interest to seniors, such as finances or health, are discussed, along with extensive references to related books, videos and websites. The bulk of the book is focused on activities that staff can do behind the scenes, such as surveys, adaptation of technology for seniors, evaluation of programs, and marketing. Appendixes include the ALA guidelines for services to older adults and a good number of online technology tools that can be used for editing and placing images on the library's website. This practical volume was prepared by Roberts (continuing education consultant, Missouri State Library) and Bauman, a recent MLS graduate of San Jose State University who is currently reviewing books for school library collections.
