商品簡介
In this book for bodywork and manual therapy practitioners from any discipline, Karrasch, a certified Rolfer and LMT, describes physical, emotional, and energetic techniques for unblocking emotional pain in the body and restoring the flow of energy. The author draws on several modalities and philosophies: the chakra system from India, the Oriental model of qi flow through meridians, the craniosacral model of cerebrospinal fluid movement through the spinal column, the manual lymphatic drainage system, and the Ida Rolf method of structural integration. Practitioners are challenged to energize their own cores and get in touch with their own bodily-held emotions before working in this area with clients, through reflection exercises to help the reader understand the process in his or own body, along with plain-language explanations of anatomy and posture illustrated with b&w line drawings and detailed anatomical drawings. The book also includes lists of suggested books on anatomy, alternative healing, self-help, and philosophy. The author is affiliated with the Wren Clinic in London. The book is distributed in the US by Jessica Kingsley Publishers. Annotation c2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
