Drawing on their experiences as dyslexia coordinators at universities, Jamieson (University College London) and Morgan (City U., London) present a practical text on how best to support dyslexic students in higher education in the UK. Coverage includes an overview of dyslexia, assessment and diagnosis of dyslexia in higher education, how university staff can help dyslexic students succeed, the legal responsibilities of institutions regarding dyslexic students, the "reasonable adjustments" which must be made to the teaching and assessment process, and other sources of support to help dyslexic students. An accompanying CD contains reproducible forms and information. For dyslexic and disability coordinators and support staff in higher education institutions, student advisors, personal tutors, parents of dyslexic students, and dyslexic students themselves.
