D. C. Lau was, at the time of his passing in 2010, one of the world’s greatest scholars of classical Chinese philosophy. 作者簡介
1921年生於香港。1942年香港大學中文系畢業，1949年獲蘇格蘭格拉斯哥大學文學碩士。1950年任教倫敦大學亞非學院，1978年任教香港中文大學，1989年退休，2010年逝世。英譯著作有《老子》、《孟子》、《論語》等，中文著作有《語言與思想之間》，編著有《先秦兩漢古籍逐字索引叢刊》、《魏晉南北朝古籍逐字索引叢刊》。
