The 21 papers of this collection offer detailed analyses of the hottest ideas in the active intellectual climate of 14th-century Paris, with particular attention to the new theories being advanced by Duns Scotus, Meister Eckhart, Durandus of St. Pourcain, and Pierre Auriol. Among the main themes are the ideas and theology concerning beatific vision, the notion of the individual, the relation of science and theology, and the theory of forms of Godfrey of Fontaines. Two of the papers are in German, one is in French, and the balance are in English. The articles are written for fellow medievalists.
