This proceedings volume, with more than 30 chapters, is based on the presentations given at the National Conference on Water Resources and Hydropower (WRHP-2016) and represents the state-of-the-art in water resources in India. By combining these topics, the book provides a valuable resource for practitioners and researchers, including field engineers, academicians, planners, health specialists, disaster managers, decision makers and policy makers engaged in various aspects of water resources and hydropower. The WRHP-2016 was organised in association with the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Uttrakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited and the Indian Society for Hydraulics, Pune and was held in University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India from June 17-18, 2016.
作者簡介
Dr Vikas Garg is Professor & Head of the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies in Dehradun, India. He received his B.E. in Civil Engineering, and his M.Tech and Ph.D in Water Resources Engineering.
He is a recipient of the Indian Patent for developing “Multiple Collar Plates: A Composite scour Protection Device” in 2006. Recently, he received the G M. Nawathe Award for Best Research Paper by the Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH) at CWPRS Pune. Earlier, he received the G M Nawathe Award from the Indian Society for Hydraulics (ISH) for the Best Research Paper in HYDRO – 2005. He has been honored with the Young Engineer Award by Institution of Engineers (India) in 2008. He has published 40 research papers in National Journals and from International and National Conferences.
