倫敦超當代設計展

「倫敦超當代設計展」為英國倫敦設計博物館策畫的巡迴展，以過去、現在、未來的時間軸作為展覽脈絡，由十五位倫敦當代創意名家與未來之星的作品，架構出本展的核心。設計師們從回饋的角度出發，為這個使他們揚名立萬的大都會提出生活議題的解決方式。他們在本展中呈現的設計作品，映照出對倫敦人文與風情豐富敏銳的觀察，也體現了倫敦設計的精髓。各工作團隊秉持著不同的專業，包括建築、流行設計、視覺傳達、工業設計等，以不同媒材展現倫敦在設計界引領風騷的企圖心。展覽內容包括重要的設計企劃案、具影響力的歷史人物與事件，以及民眾如何透過學校體系、展覽、商業與媒體培養設計概念。同時，特別展示了倫敦的設計網路地圖，描繪出這個城市是如何串連創意，以及設計師們與倫敦的緊密關係。

A traveling exhibition curated by the Design Museum in London, Super Contemporary takes past, present and future as its thematic structure to present the work of fifteen masters and future stars of London's design scene. For the exhibition these designers or design groups were asked to respond to problems of urban living as a means of returning something to London, the city that helped them make their names. Exhibited works reflect incisive observations of London's rich culture and human landscapes, and embody the essence of London design. Participants were chosen from a range of disciplines within the design field, including architecture, fashion design, visual communication and industrial design, who work in various media to present the excellence of London design. In addition to objects, installations, and architectural models, the exhibition includes documentation of design proposals, influential historical figures and events, along with a presentation detailing how design concepts are fostered by academic, exhibition, industrial and media systems. Using maps and other graphic displays, special emphasis is placed on the close relationship between these designers and their hometown of London, the city's designer network and ways in which creative resources are brought together.
