For housing scholars and practitioners, Silverman and Patterson (urban and regional planning and social work, U. of Buffalo) assemble 13 essays that examine the trends, outcomes, and future directions of fair and affordable housing policy in the US. Robert Mark Silverman, Ph.D. (1997) in Urban Studies, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, is an Associate Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University at Buffalo. He is author of numerous articles on housing, public participation, nonprofits, and community development.Kelly L. Patterson, Ph.D. (2002) in Urban Studies, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the University at Buffalo. Her research focuses on rent vouchers, fair housing, discrimination, social policy, and the African American experience.
