For four young friends, the summer of 1983 will never be forgotten. A blissful spell of rebellion, love, and freedom, to a soundtrack of Abba. But nothing lasts forever. Three decades later and librarian Maggie is facing chemotherapy alone. When she hears that ABBA are reforming for one gig in Stockholm, she resolves to contact her old friends to travel together to the concert—just as they promised they would all those years ago. But it's not as simple as it seems. Daniel Smith (aka Lane), ex-international pop star and recluse, is experiencing a sudden and unwelcome return to the limelight. Dee runs a successful PR company and appears to be every bit the woman in control, but appearances can be deceiving. And while some things about Charlie, now Cassandra, might have changed, she's always known who she really was deep down, though convincing her family is a different story. As the lives of each of the four friends converge again, they discover the joys and sorrows of rekindling the past—and facing the future, together.
