Head and Neck Imaging in Oncology ― PET-CT and PET-MRI

Head and neck oncologic imaging is challenging owing to the complex anatomy, the ongoing changes in imaging paradigms with PET-CT, PET-MRI, CT, and MRI, and the rapid evolution of therapy.Head and Neck Imaging in Oncology distils this complexity with the aim of providing simplified information and guidance relevant to everyday clinical practice. Dr. Rathan M. Subramaniam is an Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Division of Nuclear Medicine within the Department of Radiology and Radiological Science. An internationally recognized expert in quantitative molecular imaging with positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT), Dr. Subramaniam specializes in diagnostic radiology. His clinical and research interests include molecular imaging in cancer, neuroimaging, and health policy and management. Dr. Subramaniam earned his medical degree from Australia’s University of Melbourne Faculty of Medicine. He completed an internship at Melbourne’s Western Hospital, a radiology residency at New Zealand’s Waikato Hospital, and fellowships in nuclear radiology and neuroradiology at the Mayo Clinic.
