Among his awards and honors are the Distinguished Research Award from the National Science Council of Taiwan, the 17^th Teco Award from the Teco Technology Foundation, and the Outstanding Scholar Chair from the Foundation for the Advancement of Outstanding Scholarship (FAOS).
