Aging Research ― Methodological Issues

This is the second edition of a well received book that reviews classical epidemiological and clinical research designs, with a specific focus on aging. Chapters cover basic topics like the scientific method, ethics, and the consequences of certain exclusion criteria. The work also includes a look at clinical concepts like multimorbidity, frailty and functionality. Luis Miguel Gutierrez Robledo is the General Director of the National Institute of Geriatrics. He is a medical doctor with specialization in internal medicine and geriatrics from Grenobole University, France. Dr Gutierrez-Robledo obtained his doctoral degree from the University of Bordeaux, France. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine in Mexico and an international member of the National Academy of Medicine in France.

Carmen Garcia-Pena is the Research Director of the National Institute of Geriatrics at Mexico. She is a medical doctor with an specialization of family medicine and a master degree in medical sciences. She obtained her PhD in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She is qualified as National Researcher level III by the National Council of Science and Technology. Member of the National Academy of Medicine and international member of the National Academy of Medicine at USA.
