A Health Pattern To Live By

Dr. Bernard Jensen lectured throughout the U.S. and around the world about health and nutrition. Early on he would tape record his lectures and then later have them typed up into booklets. He would staple them together and sell them through mail order or at his lectures. There are 21 lecture reprint booklets. The information is as timely today as it was when he started teaching about right living in the early 1940's. I have edited, revised and added to the booklets, but left the flavor of that time period and his distinct voice comes through as the content reflects his speaking more than writing style. Writers tend to stay away from writing like they are speaking when writing a book, but Dr. Bernard Jensen was adamant about his self-published books sounding like he was right there with you while you were reading his work. The following are quotes from the book: For quite some time I have been searching for a means of bringing, not to just the few that I can work with at the sanitarium, but to everyone who wants it, a program which would enable the individual to establish and maintain himself in an enlightened, spiritual consciousness, with a healthy mind that could be expressed through the channels provided for by a healthy physical body. When winter comes, the nuts are in season and the more concentrated, building, heat foods, like the grains and nuts should be taken. These foods are not only for our pleasure and enjoyment, but they mold our bodies and keep us in good health, when they are well chosen and eaten in the right proportions. Let us keep in mind that it is possible to kill ourselves by the amount of food that we eat. When we partake of dried fruits in the wintertime, we find we have an extra amount of energy and we can well afford to do extra work and extra exercise.
