The year is 971 BC, and they search all of Israel for the most beautiful young virgin to be King David's nurse on his death bed. (1 Ki 1:1-3) Abishag, a Shunammite from the town of Shunem, 90 km north of Jerusalem, has been chosen. After David dies, his son, 29-year-old King Solomon begins to reign.
