Linkages between the legal system and knowledge are bound to multiply in modern societies. Nico Stehr is Karl Mannheim Professor of Cultural Studies at the Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen, Germany. Stehr is also a professor emeritus at the Sustainable Development Research Institute at the University of British Columbia. Bernd Weiler is a fellow at Zeppelin University, Friedrichshafen, Germany. Together with Nico Stehr and Christopher Henning, he recently edited the volume The Moralization of the Markets (2005).
