A former curator of the Edison estate compiles quotes from the famous inventor on wide-ranging topics from inventing ("Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.") to bodily matters ("I do not need to hear a man when he wants to borrow money.") Some of his quoted views are contradictory (e.g., on whether humans have a soul); he did not see the potential of a technology he developed ("The public does not want talking movies.' 作者簡介
Michele Wehrwein Albion, curator of the Edison and Ford Winter Estates from 1992 to 1997 and former curatorial staff at the United States Holocaust Museum, is the author of The Florida Life of Thomas Edison. She lives in Dover, New Hampshire.
