The documents are some of the earliest records of Irish Presbyterianism and shed light on moral issues; ministerial supply and the training of ministers; and the external relations of the Presbyterian community with their confessional peers in Scotland, with the English and the Cromwellian administration in Dublin, and with the local Catholic population.
