With the inevitable turning of the seasons, however, both birds learn to believe the other?and cement their friendship forever.

Julia Donaldson has written such stories as the Smarties Prize-winning The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom, Spinderella, The Giants and the Joneses, and Night Monkey, Day Monkey. Pam Smy is a children's book illustrator whose work includes The Hound of Baskervilles.
