Health Disparities Among Under-Served Populations ─ Implications for Research, Policy and Praxis

US contributors in public health, social work, and public policy look at under-served US populations, with special emphasis on children and adolescents and the implications of poor health for social mobility. An introduction gives historical background and analyzes the significance of heath disparities that disproportionately impact under-served groups. Section 1 covers prevention and interventions for substance abuse, psychological coping, trauma, infant mortality, and HPV among populations including American Indian and Alaska Native youth, and immigrant and refugee populations.
