Fantasies of Cross-dressing

Nagaike (Asian studies, U. of British Columbia) examines the narratives of male homosexual literature by famed writers in a range of Japanese fiction, including popular curvature and manga, amateur fiction and critically acclaimed works. Primarily examining the phenomena as expressive of a female fantasy of male homoerotica, sections delve into particular works and consider concepts of androgyny, perversity, gender norms, sexuality, female empowerment and dis-empowerment, as well as cultural implications. Kazumi Nagaike, Ph.D. (2005) in Asian Studies, The University of British Columbia, is an Associate Professor for Center for International Education and Research, Oita University. She has extensively published on her ongoing analysis of female acts of fantasizing male-male eroticism.
