Nick Turner, MSW, received his master of arts degree in social work from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration. Turner is currently the clinical supervisor at Gateway Foundation in Aurora, IL, where he specializes in providing staff supervision and individual and group counseling for substance abuse and mental health needs. He is a licensed clinical social worker (Illinois), certified alcohol and drug counselor (Illinois IAODAPCA), and a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science and the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers .

Phil Welches, PhD, is the clinical director for Gateway Foundation’s Community Services Division consisting of nine treatment centers, past director of psychology at Chicago-Read Mental Health Center, and past director of two non-profit addiction treatment centers. He is a licensed clinical psychologist and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. Welches is an executive scholar in Nonprofit Management through the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals on collaborative research, assessment and therapy.

Sandra Conti, MS, received her Master of Clinical Psychology degree from Benedictine University. Conti is currently is a substance abuse counselor at Gateway Foundation’s Aurora site, where she specializes in providing individual and group counseling for clients with substances abuse and mental health needs. Conti is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in DBT and is a Zen student under Dr. Marsha Linehan Roshi. Conti received a Masters of Business Administration from Benedictine and worked in the financial field.
