Aiming to showcase the range of possibilities for the teaching of writing, Schneider shares cases of real (sometimes imperfect) writing instruction for teacher educators, pre-service teachers, and in-service teachers in order to foster discussion of teaching choices with the goal of improving practices. Jenifer Jasinski Schneider (PhD, The Ohio State University) is an associate professor at the University of South Florida. A winner of several teaching awards, Dr. Schneider is recognized for her work in writing instruction and multimedia composition. She is published in major literacy research journals.
