Based on a landmark study supported by the National Institute on Aging, 772 subjects from a host of populations including men, women, and various age and ethnic groups, prepared detailed sleep diaries for a two-week period. 作者簡介
Kenneth L. Lichstein is Dunavant Professor of Psychology, Associate Department Chari, and director of Behavioral Medicine Program, Department of Psychology, University of Memphis. His primary research interest is behavioral sleep medicine with an emphasis on insomnia in older adults. He founded the journal Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and he has published over 100 articles and book chapters and three prior books.
H. Heith Durrence is a research scientist working jointly for the West Clinic and Supportive Oncology Services. His primary research interests include the impact of supportive care drugs in oncology and the study of ethnic differences in the experience of sleep.
Brant W. Riedel received Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Memphis and is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Memphis. Dr. Riedel's research has focused on behavioral medicine topics. He has authored a number of articles and book chapters on insomnia and other sleep disorders. In addition, he has published articles on smoking cessation and the relation between smoking and sleep.
Daniel J. Taylor is a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. His primary research interests are in behavioral sleep medicine and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Andrew J. Bush is a biostatistician currently serving as a Professor of Preventive Medicine and as a Professor of Physical Therapy at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. His applied research interests are broad but tend to be focused on areas supporting improved health while his quantitative interests reside in the analysis of change.
