Part One posits fundraising as the art of relationship building, Part Two lays out the elements of an institutional development plan, Part Three focuses on donor dynamics and motivation including detailed discussion of donor segments, Part Four concentrates on marketing and solicitation with an emphasis on direct mail, social media, events and other techniques. Part Five is about the role of volunteers and includes contemporary methods of attracting and retaining them. Part Six focuses on leadership and management and focuses on building a well-run fundraising program and the role of fundraiser as organizational leader. Part Seven covers ethics, accountability, transparency, legal guidelines and regulatory imperatives. Part Eight explores fundraising as a profession, the importance of credentialing and resouces available for fundraisers who want to improve their skills and/or advance in their careers.

作者簡介

EUGENE R. TEMPEL is Founding Dean Emeritus of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and a Professor of Philanthropic Studies.

TIMOTHY L. SEILER is the inaugural Rosso Fellow in Philanthropic Fundraising and Clinical Professor of Philanthropic Studies at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

DWIGHT F. BURLINGAME is Professor of Philanthropic Studies and holds the Glenn Family Chair in Philanthropy at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.

All three editors are recipients of the Henry A. Rosso Medal for Lifetime Achievement in Ethical Fundraising.
