This volume examines legal matters regarding the prevention and fighting of historical pollution caused by industrial emissions. "Historical pollution" refers to the long-term or delayed onset effects of environmental crimes such as groundwater or soil pollution.
Historical Pollution presents and compares national legal approaches, including the most interesting and effective mechanisms for managing environmental problems in relation with historical pollution. It features interdisciplinary and international comparisons of traditional and alternative justice mechanisms.
This book will be of interest to researchers in criminology and criminal justice and related areas, such as politics, law, and economics, those in the public and private sectors dealing with environmental protection, including international institutions, corporations, specialized national agencies, those involved in the criminal justice system, and policymakers.
作者簡介
Stefano Manacorda (BA University of Naples; LLM Universite Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne; PhD University of Florence), is a professor of Criminal Law at the University of Naples and Visiting Professor at Queen Mary University of London.
He is Vice-President of SIDS (Societe internationale de Defense sociale), of ARPE (Association de Recherches Penales Europeennes) of ISPAC (International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme). He has published extensively in the fields of European, Comparative and International Criminal Law. He is the author of more than one hundred scientific articles in several languages and has published eleven books in the area of European, International and Comparative Law.
Francesco Centonze is Full Professor of Criminal Law and Business Criminal Law at the University “Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - Milano”. He is Director of Rivista Italiana di Medicina Legale e del diritto in campo Sanitario, Coordinator for the Master Program in Business Criminal Law at “Cattolica del Sacro Cuore” University and Member of Scientific Committee of Centro Studi ?Federico Stella? sulla Giustizia Penale e la Politica Criminale – Universita Cattolica di Milano. He has published extensively in the field of Criminal Law and Business Criminal Law. He is the author of several books and scientific articles.
