Developed as a joint venture of senior and junior scholars in China and the United States, this book documents Chinese, Latin American, U.S., and European examples of engaged scholarship supporting the development of strategies for expanding educational opportunities for low-income families. Drawing from collaborative research, workshops, and field investigations, chapter authors propose and test new methods and practices for reducing educational inequality and provide examples of successful practices that have improved access for low-income students across the globe.
作者簡介
Wang Chen is Professor and Associate Director in the Institute for History of Education and Culture at Beijing Normal University, China.
Xu Li is the Associate Director of the Global Engagement Office at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), China.
Edward St. P. John is Algo D. Henderson Collegiate Professor Emeritus at the University of Michigan’s Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education, USA.
Cliona Hannon is Director of the Trinity Access Programmes at Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, Ireland.
