Jahrhundert und das kurze 20. Jahrhundert. Die Darstellung will vor allem die grossen Zusammenhange und Entwicklungslinien erschliessen. Sie soll angehenden Pfarrerinnen und Pfarrern und Religionslehrerinnen und Religionslehrern ein historisch begrundetes Verstandnis jener Gestalt des Christentums eroffnen, mit der sie in ihrem Wirkungskreis aktuell zu tun haben. Zugleich vermittelt sie das zur Orientierung und fur Examenszwecke notige Grundgerust der wichtigsten Namen und Daten.
