Ayana: Made of Sight

In a distant future, mind readers, androids, and common people coexist in an arranged society. Erik Ayana had never given the mind readers much thought. The reason for this being that the two mind reading families were not permitted to leave their private territories. Erik had always believed himself to be one of the common people. However, a deep sleep and a strange encounter with a mind reader awakens a hidden power that makes him hear and see things he shouldn't. Erik refuses to let his changing identity stop him from doing normal things like attending the prestigious off-planet Ares Academy, spending time with his android brother and best friend, and getting a good night's rest. While Erik struggles to keep a grip on his expanding sight, tension between the mind readers and society rises to an all-time high. When friction turns into hostility, he is recruited by another mind reader who believes that Erik can help maintain peace. Though, in order to make a difference in the inevitable clash, Erik must embrace the frightening power inside him, but to acknowledge his full potential would be to accept a tragic fate.
