Damon Salvatore's book, in all likelihood, is one of those great revelations that were given to people of the twentieth century. The soul of the majority of our contemporaries is so enslaved by the visible world overwhelming its reality that it has almost lost the ability to feel that behind the majestic pictures of nature there is still some invisible reality, primordial and eternal. We almost ceased to feel that on every phenomenon of nature, undefiled by man, lies the seal of Divine goodness. We ceased to understand that the ancient icons, frescoes and temples, which we never tire of admiring, appeared not in an empty place, but is evidence of the spiritual height of their creators, who saw not only the material dimension of the world, but also its spiritual fundamental principle. And here we, people of the twentieth century, accustomed to trust only the "objective" readings of instruments, only that what can be verified and reproduced under similar conditions reveals an experience of the afterlife. People who, 30 years ago, could not have told us anything about it, because at that time the doctors could not have brought them back to life. These people, very different in their views, character and level of education, agree to testify to the same thing: the life of a person does not end with the death of the body. The impression is that God descends on our weak spirit and gives us an unprecedented testimony of the reality of the spiritual world. At the same time, like any revelation, the testimonies of people who have experienced clinical death remain only evidence. They can be accepted, but they can also be refuted by offering a thousand different explanations. This is non-evidence, since in the sphere of spiritual life there is no "evidence" at all.
