Tim with Daisygingerrockets aka Daggers

In an intensely fast paced world that glorifies driven and overworked adults, a shy 8 year old Tim, navigates his way through dysfunctional family dynamics. An early traumatic experience triggers mental and physical maladies. Tim begins to find solace in his love for animals, nature and space science. He also copes with his feelings of isolation and lack of strong parental support by relying on two imaginary friends.

In this book, the author uses Tim's adventures with his imaginary friends Anna and Danny and the rescue of an adorable puppy, Daggers to illustrate the effects of unhealthy family dynamics on a child's mental health. Tim's experiences demonstrate that children develop coping mechanisms when faced with discontent within the home environment and gives us clues to realise when this is happening right before our eyes.

Generations ago, we heard that parents fighting in front of children makes the children grow up stronger, is that REALLY true? Is that how we want to continue shaping these blossoms? The Author hopes for a generation of children who exercise greater compassion, love, happiness, inclusion and positive self-worth together as a superpower. In order to achieve this we have to be intentional about what we expose them to and make the change; one family at a time.
