Spanish cuisine consists of a great variety of dishes which stem from differences in geography, culture and climate. It is heavily influenced by seafood available from the waters that surround the country and reflect the country's deep Mediterranean roots. Spain's extensive history with many cultural influences have combined to create a uniquely vibrant and delicious cuisine.

Spain has the 12th highest life expectancy in the world and ranks high in global healthcare quality. Spain's health care is public, universal and free for every citizen.

Spain is a multilingual state with its immigrant communities speaking Moroccan Arabic, Romanian and English. Spain is a solar power world leader with its massive power station plant called La Florida and is also Europe's main producer of wind energy. The Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cient璗icas (CSIC) is the leading public agency dedicated to scientific research in the country, which ranked 5th among top governmental scientific institutions worldwide.
