Rescuing the Blacksmith

After becoming tragically widowed, Laura Bennett can't imagine risking her heart a second time, so she devotes herself to charitable causes instead. She soon becomes known for her inability to turn away a stray animal, including the rider-less horse that wanders her way with a broken horseshoe on Christmas Eve.
