Construction, architecture and engineering projects are complex undertakings, involving a temporary grouping of people and companies, with different agendas and experience, coming together to achieve a project goal. Stephen Emmitt is Professor of Architectural Technology in the Department of Civil and Building Engineering at Loughborough University, UK. He formerly held the Hoffmann Chair of Innovation and Management at the Technical University of Denmark.
