Auditing Canadian Democracy

The Canadian Democratic audit was a project by a team of political scientists assessing different aspects of Canadian democracy--federalism, cabinets and first ministers, legislatures, citizens, elections, political parties, advocacy groups, and communication technology--against the democratic benchmarks of participation, inclusiveness, and responsiveness. The project resulted in the production of nine monographs reviewing the findings for those above-mentioned areas. In this volume, Cross (Carleton U., Canada), presents chapters that summarize, synthesize, and update the findings of those monographs. Distributed in the US by UTP Distribution.
