Leonardo Boff is Emeritus Professor at the University of Rio de Janiero, Brazil, where he lectures on Ethics and Philosophy of Religion. He has also held visiting positions at the University of Lisbon, Salamanca, Harvard, Basel, and Heidelberg. He was awarded the Right Livelihood Award, considered to be the alternative Nobel Peace Prize, in Stockholm in 2001 for his commitment to Justice, Ecology and Spirituality.
