This reference compiles all major techniques of flow visualization and demonstrates their applications in all fields of science and technology. Chapters are arranged in sections on fundamentals, methods, image processing and computer-assisted methods, and applications. Topics include surface tracing methods, streaming birefringence, digital processing of interferograms, optical image processing, and infrared thermography in convective heat transfer. This second edition reflects progress in the field since 1994.
