As with other guides in the series, this guide includes a crash course in all things horror, a history of the genre, a section outlining its enduring appeal and patron marketing suggestions. Sections examine different types of horror fiction and provide reading suggestions based on the enjoyment of any particular genre or author, and are written with a sense of humor and obvious affinity for the subject, if a bit rife with puns.
