Quantitative Models in Psychology

McGrath (psychology, Fairleigh Dickinson U.) offers psychology students a framework for understanding quantitative research methods. He distinguishes between quantitative methods themselves and what he calls foundational theory in quantitative methods, noting that most psychologists are trained only in the first. Within sections on models of inference, models of measurement, and structural modeling he discusses such topics as significant testing, practical issues in null hypothesis significance testing, latent-variable models, and modeling psychological phenomena.
