The Immigrant Paradox in Children and Adolescents ─ Is Becoming American a Developmental Risk?

The immigrant paradox refers to the phenomenon of assimilated children of immigrants experiencing poorer developmental outcomes and lower educational achievement. In these essays from a spring 2009 conference held at Brown University, contributors look at psychological, sociological, demographic, educational, and economic aspects of this problem.
