Culture and Customs of Gambia

Part of a series on the culture and customs of African nations, this volume provides general readers and students in social sciences and related fields with a primer on the cultural habits and national character of Gambia. Following a thematic format, the book begins with an introduction outlining the history of Gambia in brief, and continues with discussions of religion and world view, literature, art and architecture, food and clothing, gender and family norms, social customs, and music and dance.
