Reproductive Justice

Scholars from various disciplines engaged in research, clinical practice, and activism offer a comprehensive overview of the barriers to women's reproduction rights and of challenges that the movement for reproductive justice faces. They focus on conditions and contexts outside the West where the reproductive rights movement was born within a set of assumptions about society and women's place in it. Among the topics are partner selection, women's power in relationships, global women's' experience in preventing and controlling sexually transmitted diseases, contraception and abortion, toward the humanization of childbirth, and restoring women's postpartum health and infant-feeding options.
