It is easy to become so consumed with our own lives that we fail to notice the needs of others. Love is free, yet it is priceless; showing love can be as simple as a smile, yet as rewarding as our most prized accomplishment. All of us—infants and grandparents, the wealthy and the homeless, Christians and non-Christians alike—desire to love, and to be loved.

Hewlette A.C. Pearson interviewed 38 people from various backgrounds and walks of life, and recorded each person’s responses to three simple questions:

· What is your definition of love?
· How do you show love?
· How do you feel when love is shown or expressed to you?

The results were astonishing. The emotional, heartfelt insights provided by each respondent will surely touch your heart, and bring the concept of love to the forefront of your mind. For more than seven years, Hewlette A.C. Pearson has provided education, motivation, and hope to at-risk populations. She is the founder of the Mind Over Matter Empowerment Center, which provides lifestyle makeovers and job skills training to ex-offenders. She is currently a member of the ministerial staff at The Gateway to Wholeness Church Ministries in Largo, Maryland, and is the director of the In Pursuit of His Presence Worship Institute, where she emphasizes worship in the art of dance, mime, flags, banners, and praise and worship. For Hewlette, ministering to others is her gift, but God is her passion.

Hewlette has earned master’s degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Regent University. She also studied abroad at Oxford University, completed religious study tours in Greece and Italy, and is a frequent workshop presenter at conferences. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, Pearson immigrated to the United States with her family, and currently resides in Washington DC.
